Privacy Policy – Wing Review

Wing Review (“we,” “us”) provides a platform for users to post restaurant chicken wing reviews and upload photos (“User Content”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have when using the app.
- Account information: You provide your email address, create a username, and can optionally upload a profile picture
- User Content: Reviews - ratings (0.0-10.0 scale), spiciness, photos, and any text you submit
- Support requests: If you contact support, we receive the information you include in your message. Email: wingreviewhelp@gmail.com
- Device and app usage data: device type, iOS version, and basic app version info (to help with compatibility and troubleshooting).
- Diagnostics: We may receive crash reports and basic diagnostic information (for example, through Apple’s tools) to improve stability and fix bugs. We use diagnostic information only to improve stability and fix bugs, not for advertising.
Location (if enabled)
- If you allow location access, we may use approximate or precise location to help show nearby restaurants and improve the experience.
- You can use the app without sharing your location.
- We do not use location data for advertising.
We use your information to:
- Provide app features (accounts, posting reviews/photos, displaying content)
- Maintain safety and prevent abuse (moderation, fraud prevention)
- Improve performance and fix bugs
- Communicate with you (support, important account or policy updates)
We may share information:
- With service providers: We use trusted vendors to operate and improve the app:
- Supabase helps us provide core infrastructure such as authentication, database hosting, and storage for user content (including uploaded photos). Supabase processes information you provide (such as account details and content you post) in order to provide the service.
- OneSignal helps us send push notifications. OneSignal processes device information such as a push notification token and may process notification delivery/interaction data (for example, whether a notification was delivered or opened) to deliver notifications reliably.
- For safety and legal reasons (ex. to comply with law or respond to valid requests)
- With other users: your profile and User Content may be visible to others
We do not sell your personal information.
User-Generated Content and Safety
If you believe content is objectionable, please contact us at: wingreviewhelp@gmail.com.
We may remove content/accounts that violate our rules or applicable law.
Data Retention
We keep information as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business purposes (e.g., security, compliance).
If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except where required for security/legal reasons. Backups may persist for a limited time.
Your Choices & Rights
- Access / correction: You can update certain info in-app.
- Deletion: You can delete your account and request deletion of your data by:
- Using the in-app account deletion feature (in settings), or
- Contacting us at wingreviewhelp@gmail.com and requesting we delete your account
- Location permissions: You can change this in iOS Settings at any time.
- Push notifications: You can enable or disable push notifications at any time in your device’s Settings.
Children’s Privacy
Wing Review is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice in the app. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the updated policy.
